What Makes Landmark 81 a Must-Visit

Tourists flock to Landmark 81 for a mix of record-breaking views, high-end experiences, and a chance to witness Vietnam’s rapid development.

Architectural Icon and Cultural Symbol

  • Design Inspiration: The tower’s unique, clustered design, tapering toward the sky, is intentionally modeled after a bamboo bundle, a traditional Vietnamese symbol representing strength, unity, and resilience. This blend of modern engineering and cultural heritage is what makes the structure truly unique.

  • Record-Breaking Height: As the tallest building in Vietnam and one of the tallest in Southeast Asia, visiting the observation deck is an achievement in itself, offering a perspective of Ho Chi Minh City unlike any other.

The SkyView Experience (Floors 79–81)

The main attraction is the SkyView Observation Deck, offering a comprehensive entertainment experience 370-383 meters above the ground:

  • Panoramic Views: Enjoy breathtaking, 360-degree views of the entire cityscape, the winding Saigon River, and the vast urban sprawl beyond.

  • SkyTouch Bridge: On the 81st floor, brave visitors can step onto the SkyTouch Bridge, a small extension with a glass floor that pushes the limit of height-defying thrills.

  • Interactive Fun: The SkyView area often features VR games and interactive screens detailing the history and architecture of the tower and the city below.

  • Sky-High Dining: Visitors can enjoy light refreshments and coffee at the Miwaku Coffee Lounge or opt for a premium dining experience with a view at the tower’s restaurants.

A Destination Complex: Shopping and Leisure

Landmark 81 is a mixed-use skyscraper, meaning there’s plenty to do before and after your time at the top, all contained within the same complex:

  • Vincom Center Landmark 81 (Shopping Mall): Located at the base (B1 to Level 5), this high-end mall features international luxury brands, a large food court with diverse cuisine, and entertainment options.

  • Vincom Ice Rink: The basement floors host an international-standard indoor ice skating rink, a rare and fun activity in tropical Ho Chi Minh City.

  • Vinhomes Central Park: The tower is set within a huge, beautifully landscaped riverside park, perfect for a relaxing stroll, enjoying a picnic, or taking photos of the skyscraper from the ground level.

After finding the ticket booth in B1 of the building, a lift up to 79th floor.
It was a reasonable clear day so the views were amazing.
There are 3 floors of views, and a small outdoor viewing platform.
There is a restaurant and you can claim your complimentary drink.
The VR game was short but thrilling. Do not do it if you are afraid of heights.

It’s a wonderful place to visit with many branded shops like Uniqlo, Banana Republic, Skechers, Calvin Klein, and more. The basement has a great selection of restaurants with a lovely setup. If you’d like to enjoy the sky view, make sure to go before 9:30 pm. Prices vary between weekdays and weekends, and students can get discounts on weekdays with a valid student ID.

Landmark 81 is a shopping mall building with observatory deck at the top floor located in the residential apartment complex. There is a nice crossing bridge that would give you a good photos spot with Landmark 81 building in the background.
The view from the top is amazing! It's look just like a map from the top and you can see the city really well in all directions which is fantastic. There was this district 9 that look like an inland island which was very interesting! We visited during mid afternoon on Friday and it was fairly quiet and only a couple people in the queue to buy the tickets.
The outdoor section has a nice little walk but if you want to go up the top bridge then you need to wear a harness 😂
Definitely a nice activity to do in Saigon!

Recommended. Nice place to visit. Landmark 81 is a skyscraper located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It’s part of the Vinhomes Central Park development, which is a large-scale urban project aimed at transforming the area into a modern residential and commercial hub. Standing at 461.2 meters (1,513 feet), Landmark 81 is the tallest building in Vietnam and one of the tallest in Southeast Asia. You can visit 81 floor at 382,65 m. In the ground floor there is and ice skating ring.

The building has a mix of uses, including luxury apartments, a hotel, offices, retail spaces, and even an observation deck with stunning views of the city. It’s known for its sleek design and distinctive architecture, with a sharp, modern silhouette that makes it a striking addition to the city’s skyline.

Landmark 81 offers a breathtaking experience from 81 floors up, with a serene, almost surreal view of Ho Chi Minh City sprawling below. Inside, the posh and golden interior adds a touch of luxury, making every corner feel grand and elegant. While the daytime view is impressive, I believe it would be even more magical at night, when the city's vibrant lights come alive. Watching the city sparkle from that height would be an unforgettable sight, perfect for a romantic or reflective evening. (There is also a VR experience available, just didn’t get to try!) Best if booked in advanced.
