Dragon Park: Quảng Ninh's Ultimate Adventure Destination

Dragon Park, part of the expansive Sun World Halong Complex, establishes itself as Vietnam’s most modern and largest theme park. Located right on the coast of Ha Long City, this park offers a vibrant mix of exhilarating rides and family-friendly attractions, catering to all ages. Therefore, it provides the perfect complement to the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay, giving visitors a full day of excitement and adventure.

Key Attractions and Thrills

The park boasts an impressive collection of over 20 rides, importing many of the major attractions from European manufacturers. For thrill-seekers, the park prominently features three major roller coasters:

  • Dragon’s Run: This massive steel coaster is the park’s signature ride. It provides an intense experience, including multiple inversions and reaching top speeds of up to 105 km/h. Riders will feel the pure adrenaline of this high-speed journey.

  • Little Dragon’s Flight: This suspended family coaster offers a gentler, yet exciting, flight experience, making it suitable for younger guests who crave a bit of a thrill.

  • Mysterious Journey: It completes the coaster trio as a family-friendly mine train ride, taking passengers on a winding expedition.

Furthermore, Dragon Park delivers on non-coaster thrills. Guests can challenge themselves on the Rhino Sling, a thrilling drop tower, or spin wildly on the Crazy Crane (a Topple Tower ride).

Family Entertainment and Atmosphere

Dragon Park also ensures memorable experiences for families and younger children. For instance, the park includes gentle attractions like the beautiful Royal Carousel, which features two stories of whimsical horses. Other family favorites include the Magic Cup spinning ride and various themed attractions like the Pirate Ship. As you walk around, you will notice the intricate, dragon-themed architecture and vibrant landscaping, creating an immersive and fantastical atmosphere.

Many attractions were closed and the rest was for small children so we took 2 rides at 1 attraction and left

150,000 VND for unlimited rides, except for three rides that require an extra fee — but that’s okay, it’s still worth it. I went there on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. and finished all the free rides by 5:20 p.m. because there weren’t many people and no queues. When you finish a ride, you can go again right away. I rode the roller coaster three times without waiting in line

Good place to spend 3-4 hours. Has some decent rides as well. People here are super friendly and this place is surprisingly not very crowded.
Make sure to check the timing before you go. We went at 12:00 seeing that it opens at 9:00(as per online timings), only to find out that it opens at 13:30.

There’re lots of games and recreations at Ha Long Dragon Park. For a person who is not interested in games, it’s boring. I just walked around to see.
