Hầm Hô Eco-Tourism Area captivates visitors with its wild and majestic natural beauty, earning it the nickname “Hạ Long Bay on land” in Bình Định. The complex sits along a stunning stretch of the Côn River, where a natural gorge creates an extraordinary landscape of uniquely shaped rocks and crystal-clear water. Travelers seeking a peaceful escape into nature find Hầm Hô an ideal destination.

Key Attractions and Activities

The primary activities focus on exploring the river and the dramatic rock formations.

  • Boat Ride on the Côn River: The most popular activity is the scenic boat trip through the gorge. Local operators manage the traditional xu boats, guiding visitors past large, smooth granite rocks that line the riverbanks. These rocks bear imaginative names like the Chessboard Rock (Hòn Bàn Cờ) and the Fish Scale Rock (Đá Vảy Cá), encouraging hikers and explorers.

  • Hầm Hô Dam (Đập Hầm Hô): This dam creates a large, tranquil lake area. Visitors often stop here to enjoy the serene environment, take photos, or rent equipment like water bicycles for a relaxing time on the water.

  • Natural Swimming: During the dry season (typically January to August), the cool, clear waters of the stream invite travelers to swim and relax in natural pools among the rocks.

  • Hiking and Relaxation: The surrounding forest area offers gentle trails for light hiking, leading to quieter spots like the Giếng Tiên (Fairy Well), a spot shrouded in local legend. Many visitors rent hammocks (võng) or simple chairs for an afternoon nap amidst the refreshing air.

Clean, friendly, good service. Absolutely stunning scenery. Recommend to plan a few hours at least for a walk in the forest, maybe a swim and a quiet lunch in the jungle.

25k vnd entrace fee.
If you are young, you should walk to breathe the nature instead of riding the electric car.

Popular touristic creek area in Quy Nhon.

Entry fee is 25k vnd/person.
Boat fee 45k vnd/person
Electrical vehicle 30k vnd/person but they charge 200k vnd for whole vehicle (capacity maybe 7-8 people) for a group of 6 or less. We had 6 people and paid 200k vnd for it. We used the boat for the way in and the electrical vehicle for the way out.

The whole complex is still quite under-developed. Not many area to rest/chill especially with the burning hot and humid weather in Quy Nhon.

Scenery is ok. Not something spectacular. There is an area for swimming but i didnt see anyone swim here on the day we went.

Overall, just so so. You can skip. Only do it if you have lots of spare time.
