Núi Chúa National Park (Vườn Quốc gia Núi Chúa) is an essential destination for nature enthusiasts, offering a spectacular combination of mountains, forest, semi-desert, and marine environments. Designated a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, the park preserves one of Vietnam’s most unique ecological systems, attracting visitors with its high biodiversity and stunning, unspoiled landscapes.

Unique Ecosystem and Geography

The park stands out because of its unusual semi-arid climate, which sharply contrasts with Vietnam’s typically humid environment.

  • Vietnam’s Dry Forest: The environment features a rare coastal dry forest ecosystem. You encounter drought-tolerant vegetation, thorny shrubs, and rocky terrain. This distinctive landscape supports endemic species perfectly adapted to the harsh conditions.

  • Triple Ecosystem: Núi Chúa protects three primary ecosystems: the dry forest on the mountains, the small pockets of evergreen forest, and a vibrant adjacent marine environment. This unique blend creates exceptionally rich biodiversity.

  • Geological Features: The park contains significant geological heritage sites like the famous Hàng Rái (Otter Cave) and the Lang Choi Stone Park. These areas showcase tectonic sea cliffs and ancient, fossilized coral reefs.

Top Activities for Visitors

Núi Chúa National Park offers a range of activities, from challenging mountain treks to tranquil marine exploration.

  • Trekking and Hiking: The park provides numerous trails, allowing visitors to explore the dry forest and conquer peaks like the main Núi Chúa peak (over 1,000 meters). Register in advance with the park management to ensure safety for long treks.

  • Vinh Hy Bay Marine Life: The park’s marine core zone protects an incredibly rich coral reef system near Vinh Hy Bay. Travelers enjoy glass-bottom boat tours, snorkeling, and diving to observe the colorful coral and marine species.

  • Sea Turtle Conservation: The coastal area includes important nesting beaches for sea turtles, primarily green sea turtles. If you visit between June and October, you might participate in the sea turtle conservation programs run by the park.

  • Cultural Encounters: The park borders areas inhabited by the Raglai ethnic minority community. Tours sometimes include visits to villages, providing insights into their traditional culture and sustainable farming practices.

If you want to find a trip to travel with exhausted, lots of fun, and gain numerous experience, let do trekking in Nui Chua national park in Ninh Thuan.
This is the first trip I traveled with my wife now (at that time was my girlfriend). We made a plan 3 weeks before the trip. The organize company told us that this trip need physical health, so we did excercise every day, jogging in the park, hit the gym too.
And as my expectation, the adventure so amazing, we go through the forest first, enjoy the rythm of the birds and rivers, the astmosphere is so fresh and we extremely love it.
Then, we move out to the beach, walk along the coast, the beach is wonderful that I can not describe by words. But the climate is so hot and sunshine extremely hard, if you have a weak body, you will easily to get sick under that climate. So you must be prepare some medicine in necessary.
Finally, we stop by the hill and camp overnight. The sky at night so awesome, the air turning cold and you can smell the ocean at night. This trip bring me a lot of memories and I will never forget it.

Beautiful landscape. Mountains, Forest, and Sea. There's a huge rock made from dead corals and a seafloor with holes which otters use as their nets. It's a nature preserve park so everything is still natural, uninfluenced by human activities. Such a peaceful place.
